Care farming in Wales

The Institute for Rural Health has published a report on the scope for developing care farming in Wales. In recent years care farming (the use of farms to provide therapeutic services, for instance for people with mental illness) has grown in England and Scotland, but Wales has no coordinating body and so has lagged behind. This report makes recommendations for establishing an official network in Wales.

Copies of Delivering Care in the Countryside: Taking Care Farming Forward in Wales are available from the IRH at hwww.rural-health.ac.uk.
