Spring Festival visitors join Organic Centre Wales to 'Talk Shop'

Organic Centre Wales recently hosted a successful Ten Minute Talk Shop within the Green Horizons area at the Spring Festival in Builth Wells (18th & 19th May).

Featuring a diverse mix of speakers, covering subjects areas such as: organic thatching straw, small scale organic vegetarian farming, community supported agriculture and many more. With a range of talks to choose from, the Talk Shop was well attended with around 200 attendees over the weekend. In addition the Talk Shop also hosted demonstrations from some new local, organic and ethical products, such as a range of chocolate and a new innovative superfood.

Jenny Mills, Communications Officer at OCW said: "With a total of 14 talks over two days, the Ten Minute Talk Shop offered visitors to the Spring Festival the chance to find out more about organics and ways in which they could be involved with local projects. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the range of work taking place within the organic sector; projects that help the community, the environment and innovative ways for small holders to diversify on their own land.
