New icecream range

Organic farmers Anna and David Taylor have a new range of 'Chilly Cow' ice creams, made from milk produced by their 80-strong herd of Swiss Brown cows. The new venture is based on Stryt Fawr, a 60 ha farm in Denbighshire, which they converted in 1999. Anna said “We will be an artisan producer providing a premium product and selling only into local markets. Producing small batches at a time means we can offer bespoke flavours for individual customers.” The signature product is likely to be “Chilly Cow”, an unflavoured milk ice cream. At present, the focus is mainly on the food service sector but customers will be able to buy direct from the farm in 120ml and 500ml tubs. Anna also plans to sell at shows, starting with the Rhyl Harbour festival in late May. We wish them every success with their new venture. read more
