Glastir training events

Farming Connect is organizing 40 'on farm' training events across Wales this summer, where farmers can familiarise themselves with the new scheme. The training will be delivered by a partnership of IBERS, FWAG (Cymru) and Pembrokeshire College. The objective of the training events will be to enable attendees to distinguish between agriculturally improved and habitat land and identify the suitability of options (from the list of 39 All-Wales element management options) for their own businesses. This information will be of assistance to farmers when completing the Glastir application available in the autumn. The training courses will be open to all farmers interested in applying for the All Wales Element of Glastir. The events (1pm-5pm) are open to everyone they just need to turn up on the day. Farmers who have expressed an interest in Glastir on their SAF, will receive a letter listing all events. Those held on organic farms are listed on our Events page and a list of all 40 events is posted here. read more
