Powys - Farm Diversification Business Award

Enterprising farming families in Powys are being encouraged to enter an exciting new award for excellence in Farm Diversification to recognise their achievements. Eligible farm-based businesses could win the new category of the fourth annual Powys Business Awards, supported by the Farm Diversification Scheme from Glasu.

The Powys Business Awards celebrate excellence in business in the county and bring recognition and media coverage in the local community. They are a fantastic opportunity for a farm enterprise to raise their profile and will culminate in a glittering black-tie dinner and presentation ceremony.

To be eligible for the award, the business must be based on a Powys farm and/or be run through the farm accounts, and be a non-agricultural diversification venture (not primary food or timber production). Other categories available include Small Business Award, Start-Up Award and Tourism Holiday Business. The awards are free to enter and application forms are now available from the organisers, Mid Wales Manufacturing Group, or visit www.powysbusinessawards.co.uk for more information. The closing date for entries is Friday 6th July. read more
