2013 Welsh Organic Producer Survey

During November we will be conducting the 2013 Organic Producer Survey in Wales. To reduce the environmental impact of the survey and demands on your time, this year's survey will again be conducted entirely via telephone - from the 4th of November.

All information given is strictly confidential and will only be published as average data for statistical purposes. The survey questions will include:

•Current livestock numbers and sales over the last 12 months
•Land areas of grass and crops
•Your opinions on current organic prices, Glastir and any other issues you may have

The survey is important as it helps us to better understand the Welsh organic sector. It is frequently reported that the number of organic producers in Wales have reduced during 2012,and we feel it is important to speak to both those continuing in organic production and those who have ceased to remain certified. These insights will help a great deal to inform future policies and any schemes under development by the Welsh Government for organic farming.
