Providing information on organic food and farming in Wales
Organic horticulture punches well above its weight in Wales. Many of the pioneering organic farmers in the 1970s were fruit and vegetable producers in West Wales, and consequently Wales has a long and important history of organic horticultural production.
Today, although the sector is small, it still represents about 25% of Welsh horticultural land, higher than for any other sector.
