Institute of Organic Training and Advice

IOTA is a professional body for UK and Irish trainers, advisers and other extension workers involved in organic food and farming. It was borne out of a need for recognised standards of professional conduct on the one hand and better access to information, training and support for extension workers on the other.

IOTA offers:Bee on Clover
A unique accreditation scheme, backed by a CPD programme, which demonstrates your expertise and helps you to secure more business
A register of accredited members accessed by farmers and by public and private organisations seeking to source advice and training
Regular updates of technical and standards information from the principle organic organisations in the UK at reduced rates
Access to the results of the European-wide organic research programmes
a forum for organic advisers and trainers for information exchange, meetings and representation.

The Institute is a division of Organic Research Centre (ORC); it is directed by Mark Measures and advised by a steering committee consisting of representatives from ORC, the Soil Association, OCW and independent adviser/trainer members. More
