Patrick Holden steps down

The Director of the Soil Association, Patrick Holden, will be stepping down on 30 September 2010 and will hand over to his successor following a publicly advertised recruitment process.

Patrick has been Director of the Soil Association since 1995. Commenting on his decision he said: "After 15 years as Director and more than 20 years working for the Association I believe that now is the right time to hand over to a successor to take the work of the Association forward. Taking this step will free me from the demands of running an organisation and enable me to concentrate on promoting sustainable farming internationally.” press release
