Tough Tomatoes – Research suggests organic tomatoes are healthier

A news research study suggests that organic tomatoes are healthier than conventional tomatoes.

The increased concentrations of vitamin C and chronic disease fighting compounds are thought to be a result of their ‘tough upbringing’.

Conventional tomatoes are pampered in comparison through the use of pesticides and fertilisers. This stress experienced by organic tomatoes leads to greater concentrations of health giving chemicals, according to scientists.
