Visit an organic farmA visit to an organic farm can be a great day out for families and is a good way of finding out about organic farming.![]() The Soil Association has an extensive network of more than 100 organic holdings across the UK, with 17 in Wales. All run special visits, open days and other public activities. New farms are joining all the time and there is plenty of choice, from a walled vegetable garden to beef and sheep farms in the hills and even a vineyard. See list of farms in Wales. Open Farm Sunday This is an annual event that gives everyone the chance to meet the farmers who grow their food and care for the countryside. Organized by LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming), it brings together many different farms and organizations. Some are organic and some offer visits all year round, but check the websites of the farms for more details. See www.farmsunday.org. See also our map and list of farms which welcome school visits. | |
